E.H. Taylor, Jr.
Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. built what would become Buffalo Trace Distillery in the 1870s, pioneering the bonded bourbon standards that define American whiskey to this day. He was 19th century Kentucky in its fullest expression — a banker, a politician, a perfectionist, and a showman.
